History-Purpose-Vision

Our roots go back to the 1960’s when my Dad purchased and operated Severance Garage.  His focus was mechanic work then later introduced paint and body work to his business operations.   He has always been a car enthusiast since the 50’s when he purchased his first new car which was a 1957 Chevy 2 door hardtop, black with red interior.  His passion to work on cars was transferred to me as I grew up around the business.  Early experiences with countless plastic model car builds and collecting and racing candy painted redline Hot Wheel cars is what fueled my desire to build the real thing.  A 1971 Rally Sport Z/28 Camaro was the first build I was involved with in 1980.  I stripped the car to metal with paint remover and my dad guided me through the body work and primer.  He painted that one while I observed.  My first personal car, that I still have today, was a 1968 Firebird 400 which my dad helped me restore in 1981.  He painted it candy brick red for me before I was skilled with a paint gun.  It was during that time a strong desire to build muscle cars developed.  In the mean time I graduated from Colorado State University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology all the while knowing that I wanted to restore muscle cars.  My Autobody business began in 1989 at the same shop my Firebird was painted in.  Along the way I gained valuable experience with collision repair and painting.  Since 2005 my entire focus has been high end rotisserie restorations.  First generation Camaro builds are my specialty with over 100 completed.
